It is our pleasure to announce the Workshop “Young Women in Mathematical Physics 2018” that will take place at the University of Bonn, 24-26 September 2018.
This three-day workshop is designed for young female researchers (advanced master students, Ph.D. students and postdocs) in the field of Mathematical Physics, with the main scope of providing a platform for learning, exchanging, giving talks, and networking.
It will consist of three minicourses:
Giada Basile (Sapienza, Università di Roma): “A gradient flow approach to kinetic equations”
Patrícia Gonçalves (Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa): “From microscopic to macroscopic: deriving deterministic laws from the random motion of particles”
Sabine Jansen (Universität München): “Gibbs point processes and cluster expansions”
Confirmed speakers include:
Oriane Blondel (Université Claude Bernard Lyon)
Gioia Carinci (Delft University of Technology)
Diana Conache (Technische Universität München)
Xian Liao (Universität Bonn)
Constanza Rojas-Molina (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf)
Chiara Saffirio (Universität Zürich)
Ariane Trescases (CNRS & Univ. Paul Sabatier)
There will be a Special Lecture
by
Barbara Rüdiger (Universität Wuppertal).
These talks will be complemented with talks and posters by young researchers.
Female participants are invited to submit an abstract for a poster and apply for financial support .
We strongly encourage male researchers to attend the workshop.
