Possible topics include:

• Adaptive Online Convex Optimization/Sequential Prediction
• Mathematical formalization and analysis of methods that generate explanations for the decisions of black-box classifiers

We are looking for strong candidates with a background in Mathematical Statistics/AI/CS or related areas.
