The Department of Mathematics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam welcomes applications for a three-year Postdoctoral position in mathematical statistics, in particular causal inference.
You will research Bayesian causal inference for high-dimensional data, coming up with new methods and deriving theoretical results such as Bernstein-von Mises theorems. The potential outcomes framework and settings in which there is external data to leverage, and/or where there is unmeasured confounding, are of primary interest.
This position is part of the ERC Starting Grant project BayCause. You will join a team of two PhD students and one postdoctoral researcher already working on BayCause. This team is part of a larger research group on causal inference.
